y mom went into labor in the parking lot of the local video store. The rest is history. I’m a film school graduate, a banker, and city council member in small-town Kentucky, USA. I’m married and have three of the very best kids. With the rest of my time, I obsess over all things cinema. As long as I’m in a movie theater, I'll watch anything, but will always have a soft spot for sci-fi and an unashamed fondness for a good superhero flick. This whole thing started when I set the VCR timer to make sure I never missed an episode of Ebert & Roeper.
I’m an absurdist, an oil painter, a metalhead, a hiphopper, a pop princess, an admirer of analytical psychology, a wannabe theology nerd, a devotee to Japanese whiskey, and an avid lover of the cinematic medium in my mid-thirties who fell head over heels for film back in 2017.
In my former life, I was a feature writer and sub-editor for a series of regional and national newspaper titles. Nowadays I'm a freelance copywriter/content writer. Cinema has always been a huge part of my life. I was lucky enough to be a child of the 1970s and '80s, so I think I had the best exposure to movies during my formative years. My preferred genres are horror and sci-fi, but I'll generally watch anything... well, except perhaps musicals!
I’m a freelance writer from Montréal, Canada. I write about culture, communications, and marketing for a variety of publications and clients like /Film, Femme Gaming, Montreal Review of Books, TheGATE and more. In my free time, I’m working on my first novel and cuddling my cat.
I'm an aspiring writer and journalist from Ireland. As well as reviews and essay of movies and TV shows, I also like to write short stories and screenplays. Some of my favourite films include Good Time, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sorry We Missed You and Before Sunset.
A freelancer. Besides films, I have several obsessions: rock music, history, politics, philosophy. Based in Long Island, NY. and Madison, WI.
I’m a writer based in New York City with a degree in creative writing. I help businesses tell their stories by day, and in my free time, I can often be found ignoring life’s bigger questions while dissecting books and film.
I’m a Melbourne-based writer and editor. My work has appeared in Germ and Marrow Magazine. When I’m not writing, reading, or watching films, I’m traveling with my two Siberian huskies.
I'm a copywriter, author, Catholic, bookworm and film nerd based in San Antonio, Texas, USA. I've contributed to the Harry Potter site Mugglenet and have ghost-written many historical romance books. I'm always up for a ridiculous comedy or campy horror flick, and when I'm not typing at my computer I'm discussing films, TV, and books with my husband while our two dogs look on and contribute with yawns and sighs.
